About the Team
The UNC Sugar Bears Dance Team was developed in 1976 as a student-run program to provide a different element into the spirit sector and we are proud to continue our legacy officially under UNC Athletics since 2022.
The mission of the UNC Sugar Bear Dance Team is to support, promote, and represent the University of Northern Colorado through proper promotion of school spirit, pride, tradition, and student involvement while also creating a safe space for our student-athletes to develop skills in leadership, coaching, and professionalism.
The Sugar Bears Dance Team is made up of a large group of talented dancers from all over the United States. In the Fall, they perform at all home football alongside the Pride of the Rockies Marching Band and show their support for our men/woman's basketball teams in the spring with crowd pleasing halftime routines.
Our goal is to bring our community together to support UNC athletics!
