The UNC Sugar Bears Dance Team was developed in 1976 as a student-run program to provide a different element into the spirit sector. Our job as a D1 Athletic program is to entertain a crowd in as many creative ways as possible. We believe that being student-led adds a new view to the terms of "coach" and "teammate", and in return builds a stronger sense of camaraderie with all of the dancers on the team.
